摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent early deterioration of a magnetic plating bath by forming a porous metal oxide layer having 100Angstrom -10mum film thickness on a substrate consisting of glass, then impregnating a soln. of a palladium or silver compd. into the porous metal oxide layer. CONSTITUTION:This metal oxide layer is the porous film having the diameters of the pores ranging from several tens Angstrom to several thousands Angstrom . The diameters of the pores vary with the compsn. of a metal alkoxide solar, solvent and heating conditions. The diameters of the pores are satisfactory if said diameters are in the range where the compd. soln. of the palladium or silver can be impregnated in the film in the ensuing stage. The porous metal oxide layer can be formed by a CVD method as well. The adequate range of the film thickness is between 100Angstrom and 10mum. The glass substrate formed with the porous metal oxide layer by the above-mentioned method is immersed in the soln. of the palladium or silver compd., by which the soln. contg. the palladium ions or the silver ions is impregnated into the pores. The deposition of the excess plating on jigs is thereby prevented and the early deterioration of the magnetic plating bath is obviated.
