发明名称 ELECTRODE FOR MOLTEN CARBONATE TYPE FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enlarge an effective electrode area so as to improve a cell output by using two layers consisting of one layer, which is large in its porosity on a side of an electrolytic plate, and another layer, which is small in its porosity on a side of a gas chamber, so as to form bilayer structure of electrodes which are pressed on an electrolytic plate containing an electrolyte of molten carbonate. CONSTITUTION:An anode electrode 3 and a cathode electrode 4 are pressed on a ceramics electrolytic plate 2. These electrodes are composed of layers 3A, 4A formed on sides of the electrolytic plate, and of layers 38, 48 formed on side of gas chambers, respectively. A mixture of copper, nickel, oxide, and the like is used as materials of the layers 3B, 4B, 3B, 4B. A roll molding method or the like is used to form these films. Next two of these layers are piled/rolled and fired in an atmosphere of hydrogen so as to be unified. Then porosities of the layers 3A and 4A become 75 to 85%, and those of the layers 3B and 4B become 60 to 75%. Hence the layers 3A and 4A are much adaptable to recessed and projected parts of the electrolytic plate 2, and so electrode output is improved. Creeping of the layers 3B and 4B hardly occurs and the porosities are not varied, so that electrode characteristics can be made stable.
