PURPOSE:To exhaust the gas pressure out of a battery efficiently by furnishing a ring-shaped groove in the electrode-couping film part of an insulative gasket consisting of thermoplastic resin, wherein the ring-shaped groove shall have a wall thickness smaller than the coupling film part. CONSTITUTION:In an alkali dry battery of U-3 type, an insulative gasket 7 consisting of nylon 6, 6 is inserted between a metal 1 as positive pole and a metal sealing plate 6 connected with an electricity collecting rod 5 as negative pole. This gasket 7 includes a cylinder 8 for insertion of the electricity collecting rod 5, an outer cylinder 9, and a coupling film part 10. Here the film part 10 is provided with a ring-shaped groove 11 of 0.23mm wide, and the film thickness in this part shall range from 0.08 to 0.20mm. This constitution enables gas exhaustion good enough with an inner pressure of 50-100kg/cm<2> as the pressure in the latest period of discharging. |
