PURPOSE:To enable the conversion of an image of light in the infrared region into a dye image by heating, by using silver halide sensitive to light in the infrared region, a reducing agent, a binder and a dye providing substance which releases or forms a dye by coupling with the oxidized product of the reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:At least silver halide sensitive to light in the infrared region, a reducing agent, a binder and a dye providing substance which release or forms a dye by coupling with the oxidized product of the reducing agent are held on a support. Concretely a silver halide emulsion can be used as the silver halide. The silver halide emulsion may be any of surface latent image type and internal latent image type emulsions. A latent image is chiefly formed on the surfaces of particles in case of the surface latent image type emulsion and in particles in case of the internal latent image type emulsion. A mobile dye image corresponding to an image of light in the infrared region can be formed by heating. |
