PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency and the photoemitting efficiency of excited light by a method wherein a lens tube is cooled down by a cooling medium running in outer passages while the cooling medium filled in a sealed space is replaced with new one through the intermediary of an inner passage. CONSTITUTION:The cooling medium running in the outer passages effectively cools down a lens tube 20 from the outer peripheral side and the cooling medium running in the inner passage effectively discharges inner bubbles out of a sealed space S while displacing the cooling medium filled in the space S with new one. Both end openings of the inner pore of the lens tube 20 as the sealed space S are almost completely blocked by both side plates 31, 32 excluding the slight sections of two bottlenecks G to minimize any excited light running out of the sealed space S. Furthermore, the flow tube 3 of a laser oscillating medium 1 of the side plates 31, 32 need not be provided with communicating passage for leading in and out the cooling medium to and from the inner sealed space S around a holder of the other flow tube 4 of an exciting light source 2 so that the oval long diameter of the periphery of the lens tube 20 may be reduced. Through these procedures, the working efficiency and the photoemitting efficiency of the excited light can be improved. |
