PURPOSE:To keep correct spatial continuity among plural images by putting image data stored in a buffer memory into a main memory after converting the data into an optional size and then reading out this data for display. CONSTITUTION:Plural image data obtained by photographing a comparatively wide scene via an electronic still camera, for example, with division and slight spatial overlaps are successively written in a main memory 6. In this writing state, the image data inputted newly are stored temporarily in a buffer memory 4. A part or the whole of the new image data is converted into an optional size by enlargement/contraction processing and written in an optional position of the memory 6. The range, the size and the position are set via a reproduction monitor 2 when the contents of the memory 4 are written in the memory 6. Thus it is possible to keep the correct spatial continuity among plural image data stored in the memory 6.
