PURPOSE:To enable the implementation of accurate measurement by a construction wherein a germ membrane containing a germ which metabolizes an organic substance is laminated on a sensing membrane and a sample is made to contact with the sensing membrane through this germ membrane. CONSTITUTION:A germ membrane 10 containing a germ which metabolizes an organic substance is laminated closely on the fore end surface of a sensing membrane 7, and thereby a construction is made so that a sample passes through the germ membrane 10 and then contacts with the sensing membrane 7. The germ membrane 10 has a construction wherein an annular-ring-shaped spacer 12 is interposed in the shape of a sandwich between two annular hydrophilic acetylcellulose membranes 11 and the germ 13 is filled up in the hollow part of this spacer 12. When measurement is conducted by using an electrode thus prepared, accordingly, an organic substance or a surfactant in the sample is metabolized to be removed by the germ 13 when the sample passes through the germ membrane 10. Therefore, the dissolution of the organic substance or the surfactant in the sensing membrane 7 and the disturbance by the surfactant are prevented, and thus accurate measurement can be implemented continuously for a line time. |
