PURPOSE:To make it possible to calculate the load of an air conditioner by providing an input section which inputs load signals from an indoor machine, frequency setting circuit for an oscillator, and counting section which counts the number of pulses from an output section which changes the frequency from the oscillator and outputs it. CONSTITUTION:When a signal that indicates that an indoor machine 17 is in operation from the indoor machine 17 is inputted to an input port 1, the input port 1 becomes short-circuited. With this short circuit the luminous diode part of a photo-coupler 3 becomes luminescent, so that a photo transistor section becomes electrically conductive and the potential of a connecting point P falls from a high level to a low level and a clock generation section 6 is oscillated. When the signal that shows strong operation is inputted from the indoor machine 17 to an input port 2, the second input port 2 becomes short-circuited. With this arrangement the address input terminal of a PROM 7, if it is inputted a low level potential from a connecting point Q, outputs signals from data output terminals D0-D7 which correspond to the low level potential and a transistor 10 repeats the states of being electrically conductive and non- conductive, making a pulse counter 13 calculate the number of pulses outputted from a relay 11.
