PURPOSE:To reutilize a used drying agent such as calcium chloride for paste, excipient or the like by liquefying the drying agent and mixing the resulting liq. with starch of flour or the like or powder of a water soluble polymer to produce jellied matter or solid matter. CONSTITUTION:A used deliquescent drying agent such as calcium chloride, magnesium chloride or sodium carbonate is allowed to stand. After the drier is liquefied, water is added to obtain a liq. having about 1.25-1.35 specific gravity. The liq. is mixed with flour to produce clayish matter or solid matter, the liq. is mixed with dogtooth violet starch to produce jellied matter or solid matter, or about 100pts. of the liq. are mixed with about 10pts. water soluble polymer to produce jellied matter. The produced matter is utilized as a heat insulator, paste, clay, a filler, a mannequin material or the like.
