PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of a track 0 stopper, by prohibiting a step signal for a prescribed time when a track counter in the driving circuit of a stepping motor arrives at 0. CONSTITUTION:A step (STEP) signal 11 a drive select (DS) signal 12, and a directional (DIR) signal 10 operate a stepper driver 15, and also, the track counter 17 counts the number of tracks. A timer 19 generates a pulse 20 with a low level for the prescribed time when the count number 0 output signal of the track counter 17 and the output signal 14 of an AND gate 13 are inputted, and it is inputted to the AND gate 13, and closes the AND gate 13 within a prescribed prohibiting time 43, and stops the generation of an internal STEP signal. Thereby, no track 0 stopper can be required.
