PURPOSE:To enable use of a sledging bar by changing gap between electrodes as parallel shiftable at least one side of the faced electrodes. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous treating equipment for strip steel, a reinforced plate 2 is fitted at back face of at least one side in one pair of the electrodes 7a, 7b, for example the outer side electrode 7b, and parallel links 23a-23d are fitted at rear face of the reinforced plate 20. These parallel links 23a-23d are parallel shifted from horizontal state to diagonal upward and the gap between the electrodes 7a, 7b is enlarged from the prescribed narrow gap S1 at the time of electrolytic treating to gap S2 to be possible to pass the sledging bar 17. After passing the sledging bar 17, again the gap between electrodes 7a, 7b is returned back to the gap S1 and a large current under low voltage is supplied, to raise the current density.
