PURPOSE:To facilitate attachment and detachment of sheets for a surface treatment to and from a fig by providing means for suspending a fig holding a sheet by means of magnets to a suspending part, rising the sheet up to a horizontal position and inclining the magnets. CONSTITUTION:While the sheet 3 subjected to the surface treatment is held by the magnets 2, the jig 4 is suspended to the suspending part 5. A magnet holding frame 10 is lowered and an elevating member 7 is raised. Rollers 6 are brought into contact with the jig 4 and the jig 4 is turned around the suspending part 5 to rise the sheet 3 nearly to the horizontal position. The magnets 2 are fitted into insertion parts 11 in the magnet holding frame 10 and air cylinders 13 operate to press the magnets 2 toward a sloping base 14 when the magnet holding frame 10 comes into contact with the raised sheet 3. The magnets 2 incline along the slope of the base 12 and the magnetic force of the magnets 2 to the jig 4 is minimized, by which the removal of the magnets 2 from the sheet 3 is facilitated.
