LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent a defective liquid crystal display by short circuiting of switching means by connecting plural pieces of the switching elements in parallel to respective picture element electrodes and connecting resistance elements in series to the respective switching elements. CONSTITUTION:Plurals pieces of one end of a 1st switching unit 5 connected in series with two pieces of diodes 3 and one end of the 2nd switching unit 6 connected in series with two pieces of diodes 4 having the characteristics reverse from the characteristics of the diodes 3 are arranged respectively in parallel to line electrode wirings 1 and the other ends are commonly connected to a line electrode 8. Resistors 9, 9 are interposed respectively in series to the diodes 3, 4. The resistance values are so set that the off voltage impressed on a liquid crystal layer is kept below the threshold value of the liquid crystal by the resistor 9 and the on voltage impressed on the liquid crystal layer is increased above the threshold value of the liquid crystal by the resistor 9 connected in parallel thereto when a piece of the diode 3 is short circuited.
