PURPOSE:To reduce unburnt substances and carbon monoxide in exhaust gas together with the reduction of NOX by arranging an air intake corresponding to a top main burner on the upper part thereof on the same wall surface as the top main burner and other air intakes corresponding to other main burners on the positions higher than those of other main burners on the wall surface which faces the top main burner. CONSTITUTION:A two-stage combustion land boiler has three main burners, wherein MA, MB and MC represent top, middle and bottom main burners repectively, while LA, LB and LC show air intakes for two-stage combustion corresponding to top, middle and bottom main burners. LA is installed on the upper part of the same wall surface as MA, and LB and LC are mounted on the positions higher than those of MB and MC on the wall surface which faces MB and MC respectively. Therefore, unburnt substances and carbon monoxide can be reduced together with the reduction of NOX.
