PURPOSE:To facilitate track follow-up and to simplify a track servo device, by recording a specific pattern at the time of starting or completing the recording of recording information. CONSTITUTION:When a write control signal is impressed on a terminal 43, firstly, a signal RS is generated, and a recording pulse WP is generated for a prescribed time being delayed by the signal RS, and a light beam is maintained in an intensified state, and short-circuits plural consecutive its, and forms a series of long pits, it is set as a write starting mark. When a prescribed amount of data are written and the write of the data is completed, a write stopping signal is supplied from the terminal 43, and the recording pulse WP is generated for the prescribed time similarly as at the time of starting write, and a groove to short-circuit between plural pits is formed, and the recording completing mark of the long pit is formed. In such a way, a servo mechanism is simplified and the improvement of the servo device can be realized.
