PURPOSE:To widen an effective stroke, by generating the output of second control signal for moving a control object in the counter direction when the control object comes to a threshold at the time of the moving of the control object due to first control signal. CONSTITUTION:An AC servo-controller is composed of a speed amplifier 10, an overtravel circuit 20, a power converter circuit 30, a motor 40, a pulse generator 50, and an FV converter 60. So far as the AC servo-controller with an overtravel processing method which is applied for is concerned, the normal speed amplifier 10 and the overtravel circuit 20 are inverted, and positive-and- negative-directional overtravel signals SP, SN applied to switches 21, 22 are counter-applied to. Accordingly, when the output of first control signal is generated to move a control object, and when the control object comes to a threshold for any cause, then the output of second control signal for moving the control object in the counter direction is generated, and so the control object can be quickly stopped.
