PURPOSE:To make the rolling bearing compact and light and lengthen the life by using steel containing 0.30 % or more of C and 3 % or more or 12 % or more of Cr for one of bearing rings or a rolling element and using high- carbon chrome bearing steel or bearing cement steel for the other. CONSTITUTION:Steel containing 0.3 % or more of C and 3 % or more of Cr is used for at least one of bearing rings or a rolling element, and high-carbon chrome bearing steel or bearing cement steel is used for the other. In case of using iron alloy containing 12 % or more Cr, corrosion resistance is improved. Accordingly, internal fatigue and surface damage may be reduced, and the bearing size may be made compact with a reduced weight. Further, the life of the bearing may be lengthened.
