PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a motor by press-fitting a magnetic wedge between the tooth and the tooth of a stator core from both end faces alternately to a position of the half of its thickness. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic wedge 1 is formed of a step 3 not engaged with an engaging section 2 to be engaged with a stator core 4, and its length is set to the half of the thickness of the core 4. When the section 2 of the wedge 1 is press-fitted to an opening 9, the wedge 1 is press-fitted alternately from both end faces of the core 4 to be associated. Thus, the flow form the tooth 6 to between the wedges 1 becomes perpendicular to the plane of an iron plate in the tooth 6 to increase a magnetic reluctance, thereby reducing ineffective magnetic flux. Further, slot harmonic waves can be reduced.
