PURPOSE:To obtain a power level adjusting device having a broad band characteristic and being able to cope with large power by connecting a variable reactance and a matching load to a circulator so as to constitute the assembly as a reflecting type power level adjusting device. CONSTITUTION:When the reactance of a variable reactance element 3 is large through the adjustment of a bias power supply 4, a microwave band signal inputted from a terminal 51 through a circulator 1 is reflected. Its reflection signal is given to the circulator 1 and outputted from a terminal 52. When the reactance of the element 3 is small, the microwave band signal from the circulator 1 is absorbed by a matching load 6 via a DC voltage block capacitor 5 and no reflecting wave is caused and not outputted to the terminal 52 of the circulator 1. Thus, the quantity of reactance is made variable by the adjustment of a bias voltage, the signal of the microwave band is subjected to power adjustment and outputted. Moreover, the matching of the impedance as a microwave circuit is excellent and the circuit can cope with high power.
