PURPOSE:To improve working accuracy of a product by finding slide bottom dead center die height just before restarting drive, operating the difference between the above value and the reference value, and executing automatic adjustment of the slide position based on the difference and restart of drive. CONSTITUTION:An angle detector 6 is arranged to a crank shaft 5 and also the die height measuring instrument 7 is arranged between a bolster 2 and slide 3. Just before restarting drive of a press, the die height at the slide bottom dead center position is operated from the angle and the die height value found with the angle detector 6 and the die height measuring instrument 7. Next, the difference with the prestored reference die height value at the bottom dead center is operated, and based on the difference, the slide 3 is automatically adjusted by the driving device 13, and drive of the press is restarted. As the press is driven by automatically adjusting the deviation of the die height value just before restarting the drive, the working accuracy of the product is improved. |
