PURPOSE:To enable to correct skew distortion without increasing the number of memory and with a simple composition by setting the output value of a holding means to a first counter with the aid of the output pulse of a second counter generating the pulse every time it counts the (n) pieces of data. CONSTITUTION:A memory means 1 storing date equivalent field, that means, the (n) pieces of data made by quantifying a video signal, the first counter 2 of which cycle is N outputting the address of the memory means 1, a starting pulse generation circuit 4 generating the pulse which indicates the starting point of one display screes when the (n) pieces of data is written in the memory means 1, the holding means 3 holding the output value of the first counter with the aid of the output of the starting pulse generation circuit 4 and the second counter 5 generating the pulse every time it counts the (n) pieces of data are provided. Then the output value of the holding means 3 is set to the first counter 2 with the aid of the output pulse of the second counter 5. Thus the data of a read starting point becomes always the starting point of a write video signal and the skew distortion can be corrected because the interval of a synchronizing signal is not disordered.
