PURPOSE:To detect a malfunction and to remove a wasteful operating step and a lapse time by detecting a radiation light irradiated together with a laser light from the end of a fiberscope, and outputting an error signal when its level does not arrive at a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A laser light generator 1 irradiates a laser light Ll excited by a radiation light Lgamma from a xenon flash lamp 12 of a pulse excitation lamp. A fiberscope 2 receives the light Ll from the generator 1, transmits it, and irradiates it to an article 10 to be irradiated. Simultaneously, the light Lgamma is also radiated. A radiation light detector 3 detects part of the light Lgamma irradiated together with the light Ll from the end of the fiberscope 2, converts it into an electric signal, and outputs it. A comparison processor 4 outputs an error signal VE when the level of the output signal of the detector 3 does not arrive at a preset specified value, and displays an alarm. The signal VE can form a feedback circuit which contains a function of temporarily stopping a system connected to a solid state laser. |
