PURPOSE:To substantially increase the time needed for reproduction of a transmission message by storing the information on the pause included in the message into a pause data memory set separately so that only the valid information excluding the pause time is recorded. CONSTITUTION:A pause setting means 13 sets the insertion of a message pause during production of a transmission message. A pause data memory 16 stores the data on the address of a semiconductor memory 10 when the output of the means 13 is produced. A timer means counts the message pause time decided previously and a control means 9 starts this timer means as soon as the reproducing action is stopped by an address stored in the memory 16 after the reproduction of the transmission message is restarted at the memory 10. Then the means 9 restarts the reproducing action by the output of the timer means. Thus it is possible to record only the originally valid information and to substantially extend a memory area without recording the pause time with no sound.
