PURPOSE:To use a TV receiver as a means for individual message or the like by providing a data RAM, a CGROM, a write/end button, a selection button, a cursor button and a message erasure button or the like so as to attain message display to the TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:In case of a message write, a TV receiver is switched into a message write mode by the depression of the write/end button 21 of a remote control transmitter 20, data in the CGROM 6 is read and the Japanese syllabary, numerals or alphabets are appear on the picture tube screen. Then a specific character is designated by the operation of the cursor button 22 and selected sequentially by the selection button 23. Then the character data of the message is stored in the data RAM 4 by the depression of the button 21 again and the mode is restored to the basic mode. After the TV receiver is turned off and it is started again, the mode is set forcibly to the message notice mode and the message in the RAM 4 is displayed on an on-screen circuit 7 and it continues as long as the message erasure button 24 is not depressed. Thus, the TV receiver is used as the means for individual message or notice.
