PURPOSE:To improve the cooling property of a coil section by forming a vent passage along the edge face of a core of a section surrounded by the edge face of a rotor core and the inside of a semicircular rotor coil. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 19 in which holes 18 to become vent passages are radially formed from the center of a rotor is disposed between the innermost side of a semicircular coil 11a and the axial end face of a rotor core 9. Cutouts 21 are formed as inlet/outlet at a core retainer 12 and a core 9 of the inlet/ output of the passage 18 (holes 18). Since a cylindrical rotor 1 formed in this manner is cooled at the interior of the resin section of the coil 11a by cooling air 5, the cooling property of this section is improved to obtain substantially similar temperature rising performance to the other section of a rotor coil 11.
