PURPOSE:To provide an image effective for diagnosis within a short time, by obtaining alternately an SE image and an IR image for each of a plurality of slices by one image pickup scanning. CONSTITUTION:The one image pickup scanning is performed by the repetition of a pulse sequence. That is when the Z-axis is oriented on the direction parallel to the body axis of an examinee 1 and the images of four image pickup slices S1-S4 right-angled to said direction are needed, a sequence is set so that an IR image for the first slice S1, an SE image for the second slice 2, an IR image for the third slice S3 and an SE image for the fourth slice S4 are obtained by one scanning.
