PURPOSE:To reduce the number of used parts of a disk player so as to simplify its disk tray and at the same time, to reduce the size and thickness of the disk player, by forming a large-diameter disk placing section with a small-diameter disk placing section on its front side near the center of the disk tray, with the two disk placing sections being united in one body, and forming a notched section for moving an optical pickup from the central part to the front corner section of the large-diameter disk placing section. CONSTITUTION:A disk tray 10 which is taken out and put in the main body 2 of a disk player 1 through an opening 2a is provided with a large-diameter disk placing section 11 for guiding and placing a large-diameter disk near its central part and a small-diameter disk placing section 13 on the front side of the tray 10 and almost within the section 11, with the two sections 11 and 13 being united in one body. A notched section 15 for moving an optical pickup is formed from the central part to the front corner section of the large-diameter disk placing section 11 and a driving device for small-diameter disk and the optical pickup can make reciprocating movement along the notched section 15. When the tray 10 is constituted in such a way, the number of used parts can be reduced and the tray can be amplified and, in addition, the rigidity of the tray can be improved.
