PURPOSE:To collectively control the timing of each operation and, at the same time, to reduce the number of used parts and cost of a disk player, by causing one guide member to control a differential gear which moves a carrier driving mechanism and disk tray in the horizontal direction and the servo member of an optical pickup. CONSTITUTION:When a control cam plate 150 is rotationally driven by means of a driving mechanism 160, a carrier driving mechanism 120 which moves a pair of tray carriers 70 and 80, whose upper sections are coupled with chuck plates for a large- and small-diameter disks upward and downward, differential gear 130 which moves a disk tray in the horizontal direction, and servo member 140 which causes an optical pickup to follow the curve of the surface of each disk, are controlled. Since the one control cam plate 150 can control the loading and chucking of a large-diameter disk and the skew angle of the optical pickup 50 at the reproducing time in such way, time lags hardly occur in the timing of each operation.
