PURPOSE:To attain the winding while the tape edges are arranged by winding the tape while the tape winding body is being vibrated in the broadwise direction of the tape in winding the magnetic tape onto the tape winding body. CONSTITUTION:The winding shaft engaged with the tape reel 2 winding the magnetic tape T is vibrated along the axial direction. That is, the reel 2 is vibrated similarly attended with minute vibration while the boss 27 clipped by shock absorbers 35, 36 is vibrated minutely during rotation by the drive of a cam 32. The tape reel 2 is vibrated in the broadwise direction of tape while being rotated, the magnetic tape T wound on the tape reel 2 is deviated so as to be brought into contact with one side flange and the winding with tape side ridges arranged is attained.
