PURPOSE:To prevent the invalid transmission operation, etc., of a ratio facsimile equipment to be executed, by providing a reference wave level decision means which detects the fact that the reception level of a reference wave outputted from a relay station exceeds a prescribed value, and prohibiting an operation for facsimile transmission when no detecting signal is outputted from the reference wave level decision means. CONSTITUTION:A reference wave level decision part 15 sets a level detecting signal LE at a logic H level when the reception level of a reference wave is positioned in the inside of the transmittable range AR of the relay station RP with a level exceeding the prescribed value, and sets the level detecting signal LE at a logic L level when it is positioned at the outside of the transmittable range AR of the relay station RP with the level less than the prescribed value. And the system control part of the facsimile equipment FX checks the setting of the level detecting signal LE inputted via an input circuit 9 at the logic H level. Also, when a result of decision shows NO, a massage representing the infeasibility of facsimile communication is displayed on an operation display part 5, and also, a communication operation being performed by an operator by using the operation display part 5 is prohibited. |
