PURPOSE:To prevent an IC card from abutting on a card insertion slot by providing an extension part which is exposed partially to the outside of a card chamber in an initial state to a slide plate which conveys the IC card. CONSTITUTION:The slide plate 1 which conveys the IC card 7 is provided in the card chamber of a reader 1 so that it can moves back and forth freely; and a stopper 12 for the card is provided integrally to the end part on the opposite side from the card insertion slit 2. Then the extension part 13 which is exposed partially to outside the card chamber in the initial state is provided integrally to the slide plate 11 on the opposite side from the stopper 12. Consequently, the IC card 7 is prevented by the extension part 13 from abutting on the card insertion slit 2 when inserted. |
