PURPOSE:To quickly perform an image processing by using a word register, an address register, and a comparator and making a memory access only when the word address being the object of picture processing is different. CONSTITUTION:A word register 1-6, an address register 1-3, and a comparator 1-4 are provided; and when the word address of data to be described and the word address stored in the address register 1-3 do not coincide with each other, a control signal to write contents of the word register 1-6 in the word address indicated by the address register 1-3 is outputted and contents of the word register 1-6 are cleared and the line classification pattern in a line classification register 1-5 is written only in the position indicated by the intra-word bit position of the word register 1-6. Since the memory is accessed only when the word address is different, the number of times of access to the memory is reduced to quickly describe the image.
