A compound of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein Y represents OH or a halogeno group; D represents hydrogen or a cyano group; B represents hydrogen or a methyl, ethyl or vinyl group; A represents methyl; n is 0, 1 or 2; with the proviso that (1) when the CH2CH=CHB group is in the 4-position with respect to the CHDY group, then D must be hydrogen and B must be methyl, ethyl or vinyl and the configuration about the double bond in the CH=CHB group must be Z and (2) when the group CH=CHB is in the 3-position with respect to the CHDY group and D is CN then n must be 0 and (3) when the group CH2CH=CHB is in the 2 or 3-position with respect to the CHDY group, then D is CN, are useful in the production of pesticidal esters of chrysanthemic and related acids.
