PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of operation by providing a cover which controls the position of an IC card in its width and thickness directions to a slide plate which conveys the IC card. CONSTITUTION:The slide plate 11 which conveys the IC card 7 is provided in the card chamber of a reader so that it can moves back and forth; and a stopper 12 for a card is provided integrally to the end part on the opposite side from a card insertion slot. Then the cover 13 which covers the IC card 7 except its external terminal 8 is provided integrally to the slide plate 11 and the position of the IC card 7 is controlled in the width and thickness directions. Consequently, the connection positions of the external terminal 8 of the IC card 7 and the electrode of the reader are aligned with each other when the card is used, and the IC card 7 is prevented from abutting on the insertion slot. |
