PURPOSE:To escape the static electricity, intruded into a liquid crystal display device from the periphery of a transparent resin protective panel, to an earthed pattern by an electrically conductive part incorporating rubber which has a conductive layer on the outside edge, by electrically coupling the display body electrode on a liquid crystal display body and an electrode on a control substrate. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 9 of a liquid crystal display body 3 and a counter electrode 12 on a control substrate 1 are coupled as an electrically conductive body, and this coupling is surrounded with an electric insulating part 10, and a conductive layer 14 is provided on the outside edge of the electric insulating part 10. Consequently, the static electricity generated in the periphery of a transparent resin panel 4 is transmitted to the conductive layer 14 on the outside edge of the conductive part incorporating rubber 10 to which the space distance is shortest when penetrating the liquid crystal display device through a gap between the panel 4 and a resin case 7. Thus, the static electricity is turned away to the earth through an earthed pattern 15 of the control substrate 1, and the static electricity is prevented from penetrating a liquid crystal display control means 5 to protect the display output function.
