<p>PURPOSE:To attain quick and accurate automatic tracking by selecting the width of the 2nd head exclusive for tracking control to a width proper to the tracking control. CONSTITUTION:Automatic tracking exclusive heads 15, 16 are fitted at an angle of alpha in the advancing direction of a drum rotational direction 1a with respect to video heads 2, 3 at the circumferential ridge of a rotary drum 1. Then the head width of the automatic tracking exclusive heads 15, 16 is selected to an optimum head width for the automatic tracking and the effect caused at a deviated tracking due to crosstalk from adjacent tracks is much decreased. Thus, the reproduced output level is converged quickly to its maximum value and the tracking control with high accuracy is attained.</p> |
