MENU SELECTING AND PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To unify the operating properties of a mouse and a keyboard when menus are selected by adding a 1st cursor into a pull-down menu to indicate each item together with a 2nd cursor which shows that thoseitems are designated and moving these cursors by means of the menu operation keys of a keyboard to indicate the items. CONSTITUTION:A 1st cursor 14 is provided to indicate items together with a 2nd cursor 19. Plural cursor shift keys are provided to move the cursor 14 among items together with a 1st key which erases the cursor 19 and indicates newly the item indicated by the cursor 14, and a 2nd key which gives an instruction to inform the item indicated by the cursor 19 to a computer system. In such a constitution, the 1:1 correspondence is secured between the operation of a keyboard 18 and that of a mouse 17. In such a way, a unified user interface is attained.
