PURPOSE:To make electrolyte leakage resistant sealing possible by installing a lower die having a circular projection and an upper die with which the upper end of the opening of a case is bent inward, and by forming a taper in the upper periphery of the lower die or the lower inner periphery of a cylinder in the upper die. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical part 16 in which the inner periphery of a cylinder 21 is fitted to the outer periphery of a lower die 10 to close the lower die 10 is formed in the portion continuing from a taper 15. When an upper die 20 is lowered toward the lower die 10, the lower die 10 is closed and a circular projection 14 is fitted to a circular recess 41 in the opening of a case 40, and the opening of the case 40 is strongly supported against the external force in the axial direction. When the upper die 20 is further lowered, the upper end of the opening of the case 40 is bent inward by the upper die 20 and simultaneously compressed in the axial direction. By this process, the opening of the case 40 can be sealed. Sealing having high electrolyte leakage resistance can be obtained. |
