PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture in fewer number of processes by dividing an electrode membrane on the plane through which the electron beams of a vertical deflecting electrode pass by using lasers. CONSTITUTION:On a work table 42 operating in X axis and Y axis of a vertical deflecting electrode 40, plural lines are positioned and set. The work table 42 is operated by a cam in order to divide the conductive membrane 41 of the vertical deflecting electrode 40 in the lateral direction by a circular arc of 5000 to 9000 mmR, and making slits of about 0.1 to 0.2 mm. In this case, lasers 43 is synchronized to radiate to cut making the slits of 0.1 to 0.2 mm. In such a way, the R form can be selected as desired, and the number of processes can be reduced.
