PURPOSE:To prevent cooling water from infiltrating into the inside of a liquid crystal panel at the time of dicing, by forming a dummy seal in a surplus part of a substrate, sticking the upper and the lower substrates, and executing the dicing after the seal has been hardened. CONSTITUTION:When substrates are stuck by using the substrate being larger than the dimension of the panel substrate at the time of completion, and thereafter, a liquid crystal panel is manufactured by cutting off a surplus part of the periphery by a dicing method, a dummy seal is formed in the surplus part of the substrate, the upper and the lower substrates are stuck, and after the seal has been hardened, dicing is executed. After the dicing, the liquid crystal panel can be separated into each panel by removing the content of water in a drying process, and thereafter, applying the shearing force by a roller, etc. In such a way, it can be prevented that cooling water infiltrates into the inside of the liquid crystal panel at the time of dicing.
