PURPOSE:To standardize a substrate to be selected by giving the setting signal of a setting signal generating means provided at the host substrate side through a connecting means to the substrate to be selected and selecting it with a discriminating means in the substrate to be selected. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to an edge connector 6b of a general-use bus connector card 8, a card edge tangent part 4b is provided at a memory card 5, the tangent part 4b is inserted into the connector 6b, connected to an address bus 10 and address bits A4-A11 are given to first inputs P0-P7 of a comparator 20. Further, a signal from a jumper part 30 is given to an edge connector 7 of the card 8, the signal is supplied through a card edge tangent part 4c of the card 5 to second inputs Q0-Q7 of the comparator 20, and when inputs P0-P7 and Q0-Q7 are coincident, a board enable signal is outputted from an output terminal 40.
