PURPOSE:To improve the stop position accuracy of magnetic disk a container in rotation and to reduce the size by providing the container on a rotary disk at an equal angle. CONSTITUTION:A driving-side pulley 3 is rotated by the rotation of a pulse motor 5 and reduced in speed through a belt 4, and the magnetic disk container 1 are rotated by the rotation of a driven-side pulley 2. A slit plate 7 fitted on the motor shaft is engaged with the shaft of the upper part of the motor 56 and makes the same turn with the shaft of the motor 5. The container 1 is fitted to the pulley 2 and rotates while accelerated. When access to a specific position of the container 1 is attained, the plate 7 and container 1 are rotated by the motor 5 until a sensor 10 indicating a zero position by a plate 11 rotating coaxially with the container 1 turns on. At this time, the outputs of sensors 8 and 9 by the plate 7 are both 'L'.
