PURPOSE:To achieve automatic purge smoothly and quickly by a method in which a screw is rotated, in the state of a nozzle valve closing, during preset time or until the screw retreats by the distance of preset stroke, whereby resin is plasticized, and then the molten resin is purged at a prescribed opening rate of the nozzle valve. CONSTITUTION:The supply of the material used for present operation into a screw cylinder 1 is stopped, and new material is thrown thereinto from a material hopper 7. In the state of a nozzle valve 4 closing, a screw 2 is rotated during preset time or until the screw retreats by the distance of preset stroke, whereby resin is plasticized. Then, molten resin is purged at the prescribed opening rate of the nozzle valve 4. In this state, when the plasticizing or the purging is repeated by the rotation of the screw 2, the old material, in the screw cylinder, is replaced with new material, whereby the purging is achieved.
