PURPOSE:To repair eroding part for a short time by cutting off iron shell of the eroding part at the normal position after removing eroded brick and welding a new iron shell to the cutting-off part after turning over by 180 deg. at the time of repairing the eroded crick at inner part of tilting type molten iron carrying car both end parts of which are supported on separated carriages. CONSTITUTION:In cases where the refractory brick 5 in the inner part of the molten iron carrying car 1 is partially eroded, at first, bending of the carrying car vessel 2 caused by the iron shell 4 of the carrying car 1 is beforehand confirmed by both shaft receiving parts 7 and tranion shafts 6 on the front and rear carriages 3. Next, after removing the eroded refractory, the iron shell at the removed part of the eroded refractory is cut off to open a hole at the normal position which puts the opening part 9 for charging/discharging the molten iron upward. Successively, by turning over the iron shell-made vessel 2 by 180 deg., the bending 11 of the vessel 2 developed by the weight of the iron shell itself and weight of molten iron is straightened and also after welding a new iron shell 12 to the part opened by cutting-off, new refractory brick is lined in the inside thereof to complete the repairing.
