PURPOSE:To provide a proper restriction against an oxidation in a steel plate and to produce a high quality steel plate without fail by a method wherein a rate of supply of combustion air is set to a specified range in response to a rate of atomic weight of C, H and O in the fuel. CONSTITUTION:A rate of supply of combustion air is defined as fulfilling the following equations (1) and (2) in response to a rate of atomic weight of carbon, hydrogin and oxygin contained in the fuel. (1) 0.05<(m-m0)/(1-m0)<0.64 (2) m0=C-O/2C+H/2-O [where, m=air fuel ratio=air supply/theoretical air volume, C, H, O=content of atoms C, H and O in the fuel (unit=atomic percentage)]. Oxidation of the steel plate may properly be controlled by this method. |
