The grinder control includes reducing the level of stuff in the trough, if necessary in steps, thus to a minimum value of the trough stuff level, if upper limit value is overshot. If the current consumption of the drive motor of the wood feed undershoots the lower limit value, the procedure is reversed. In this way, as far as to undershoot an upper limit value of the current consumption of the drive motor of the wood feed and down control is achieved with respect to the specific work requirement of the wood grinder, so that there exists a coupling of stone drive power and wood feed drive power. By means of the measures according to the invention, better stability of the control process with respect to the control of unstable processes is achieved in the grinding of wood. |
