PURPOSE:To achieve a higher safety margin, by arranging a temperature detecting section, a light emitting body and a light receiving body to a prevent damage to equipment. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting body 8 and a light receiving body 9 are fixed so that light transmitted from an optical fiber 10 is emitted from the light emitting body 8 and the reflected light 7 with the light receiving body 9 is received with the light receiving body 9 to permit the transmission thereof with an optical fiber 11. When, as the temperature of an object 4 being detected varies, color of a temperature detecting sections 5 changes, causing a change in the wavelength of the reflected light 7 received with the light receiving body 9. Then, the temperature is detected depending on difference of wavelength for the sake of higher safety margin with the prevention of damage to equip ment.
