PURPOSE:To suitably attain the recording and outputting of a report by calculating the number of recordable character strings corresponding to the size of a recording paper and recording it to respective recording papers at a character string number unit. CONSTITUTION:A system control part 3 is equipped with a character string number calculating means to calculate the number of recordable character strings corresponding to the size of the recording paper set at a plotter 2 and a recording control means to record the succeeding recording area of the recording paper as a blank and record the remaining part of the report image information to the recording paper of a next page when the report image information to record and output a prescribed report arrives at the number of recordable character strings, and records and outputs the report image information at a character string unit. Thus, the inconvenience that the last part of the first report divided into two is cut off in the way of the character string does not occur.
