PURPOSE:To send a signal representing the operating state of a power supply device by a transmission circuit provided to an amplifier by detecting the operat ing state of an uninterruptible power supply equipment by an amplifier receiving power from the power supply equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the commercial power supply is not interrupted, a sinusoidal AC voltage is sent from a power supply equipment M7 to a transmis sion line M5 and a nonsinusoidal wave AC voltage is sent from the power supply equipment M7 to the transmission line M5 when interrupted. In an ampli fier M10 energized by the AC voltage sent from the power supply M7, whether or not the AC voltage is nonsinusoidal and the power is interrupted is discrimi nated by a differentiation circuit 13, a detection circuit M14 and a discrimination circuit 15 and a transmission circuit M16 sends the result of discrimination to the line M5. The transmission signal from the circuit M16 is received by a reception circuit M18 of the power state display device M19 provided on the line M5 and the result of discrimination by the circuit 15 is displayed on the display means 17.
