PURPOSE:To allow lots of persons to watch a reproduced picture at the same time as a reproduction monitor when no view finder is used by providing a view finder tying a liquid crystal display panel and eyes of a photographer through a prescribed optical path so as to miniaturize the device and reduce the weight of the view finder itself. CONSTITUTION:A video signal sent from a magnetic recording and reproducing circuit 13 integrated with a camera main body 12 is displayed on a liquid crystal display panel 14, the video image displayed on the liquid crystal display panel 14 at pickup is offered to the photographer via the view finder 15 and in reproducing the image pickup signal, the liquid crystal display panel 14 is used as the reproduction monitor. Thus, the small-sized light weight of the view finder 15 itself are attained different from an electronic view finder composed of a CRT picture tube and when no view finder 15 is used, many people can enjoy the reproduced video image as the reproduced monitor.
